
Gilroy Tallies Hat Trick at World Championships

Former Boston University All-American Matt Gilroy recorded at hat trick on Saturday to help the U.S. National Team post a 10-0 shutout victory over Kazakhstan at the World Championships in Cologne, Germany.
After suffering three one-goal losses - including two in overtime - in the preliminary round, Team USA was matched up with Kazakhstan in the regulation round.
Gilroy scored two goals in the first period before completing the hat trick in the second period en route to being named the U.S. Player of the Game.
Team USA will face France on Sunday before taking on Italy on Tuesday.
