BOSTON - Continuing its America East schedule, the Boston University men's soccer travels to Vermont with action set to begin at 3 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 12). The Terriers (5-6-0, 1-1-0 AE) will look to get back on the winning track after seeing its three-game win streak snapped over the weekend, while the Catamounts (6-5-0, 1-1-0 AE) will try to end a two-game losing skid.
After two conference games, BU is in a three-way tie for third place in the league standings with UVM and UNH. The Terriers and Catamounts rank 1-2, respectively, in goals allowed this season with 10 and 11.
With two game winning goals this season, senior captain Stephen Knox lies at the top in points for BU with freshman Dominique Badji at six apiece. Freshman Nick Thomson owns a league-best 0.89 goals against average and also carries a .767 save percentage.
Since dropping a 1-0 decision to Colgate, Vermont has won its last four home games by a combined score of 6-0 with victories over Massachusetts and Harvard. Yannick Lewis and Joe Losier lead the Catamounts with four goals, while Juan Peralta has four assists along with two goals.
On the defensive end, David Ramada has started all 11 games and has shut out six opponents. He holds a 1.01 GAA and 0.776 save percentage.
The Terriers are 25-10-7 all-time against Vermont and are on a four-game unbeaten streak after pulling out a 2-0 victory last season at Nickerson Field behind two assists from Knox.
Following the game, BU will return home to host Stony Brook on Saturday (Oct. 15) at 2 p.m.
