VESTAL, N.Y. - After rain suspended play in the top of the seventh on Saturday afternoon, the Boston University softball team's (31-15, 13-3 America East) 3-2 lead over Binghamton (21-20,9-6 AE) was ruled a victory. The Terriers and Bearcats will complete the series with a doubleheader beginning today at noon. BU needs to win one game to secure at least a share of the regular season title and home-field advantage in the America East tournament.

In game one, senior April Setterlund homered in the first to give the Terriers an early lead and redshirt freshman Chelsea Kehr added two more in the fourth on a long ball of her own that plated junior Kayla Kruper. The Bearcats put a run on the board in the fourth and closed the gap to one, 3-2, in the bottom of the sixth on Deannie Plemon's solo home run.

In the top of the seventh, with runners on second and third and pinch hitter Christina Valdes at bat, rain suspended play. Since five innings had been played it was ruled a complete game.

Freshman hurler Holli Floetker earned the win in the circle and improves to 12-3 overall and 7-0 in the conference. She pitched six complete innings and surrendered two runs - one earned - on six hits. She struck out five and walked one.
