Softball to Continue Road Trip With Midweek Visits to Harvard and Providence

BOSTON – Riding a seven-game win streak, the Boston University softball team will compete in two midweek non-conference games with a Tuesday afternoon visit to Harvard followed by a Wednesday matchup at Providence. First pitch against the Crimson is set for 4 p.m., while the Friars' contest has a 3 p.m. start time.
BU added the Providence game on Monday after the second contest of last Wednesday's home doubleheader was postponed due to darkness.

- With the three-game sweep at Colgate over the weekend, BU is now 9-4 in true road games compared to the 15-1 home mark.
- One of seven regular starters batting over .300, senior Brooke Deppiesse leads BU batting .386 with nine doubles alongside six homers, four triples and 40 runs scored.
- Deppiesse is tied with junior Kylie Doherty (.382) at 45 runs scored with Doherty owning both BU and Patriot League single-season records in homers (18) and RBIs (61).
- Both Deppiesse are Doherty are within striking distance of the program record for career RBIs. Deppiesse has 149 total, six shy of Alex Heinen's ('19) record total of 155, while Doherty has 144. Lehigh's Liz Lucas ('13) and Kim Miller ('96) sit atop the PL record book at 165.

- Reigning three-time PL Pitcher of the Week and senior Kasey Ricard (24-5, 2.79 ERA) has tied the PL record for awards in a single season at six total and increased her PL record career total to 19.
- Ricard has posted 183 strikeouts in 175.2 innings and has earned two saves this year with classmate Haley Ganino (6-1, 3.52 ERA) owning the other save this year.
- BU is batting .341 this season while holding opponents to .244 with advantages in homers (43-27), doubles (64-39) and triples (14-7).

The Crimson own notable non-conference wins against Fordham (4-0) and a doubleheader sweep at Sacred Heart (4-1, 11-3) along with one-run losses to Fordham (6-5), St. John's (3-2) and FIU (6-5).
- One of six batting over .300, Audrey Szollosi is hitting a team-high .388 with 28 runs scored and eight stolen bases, while Sophie Sun (.368) is tied with Finley Payne (.287) at seven homers apiece. Sun and Payne have combined for 69 RBIs as well.
- Seven players have made at least one appearance in the circle. Nicolette Hunter (7-7, 2.41 ERA) has posted 70 strikeouts in 87.0 innings, while Ryan Grace (1-3, 2 SVs, 2.55 ERA) has totaled 28 strikeouts in 35.2 innings.
