CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - After earning a pair of singles victories at the No. 2 spot for the Boston University women's tennis team, senior Vivien Laszloffy has been named America East Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
The award marks the second consecutive honor for the Terriers after freshman Lauren Davis was tabbed a week prior.
A 2012 America East All-Conference First Team honoree, Laszloffy dominated the competition, dropping a combined two games in two matches.
She first swept South Alabama's Mchaela Meszarosova, 6-0, 6-0, to help BU earn a 4-3 victory over the Jaguars. She followed up with a 6-1, 6-1 win against Central Florida's Jenna Doerfler, as the Terriers fell, 5-2.
In doubles action, Laszloffy teamed with sophomore Sami Lieb for an 8-2 win against South Alabama before dropping a hard-fought 8-6 decision to UCF at the No. 2 position.
With a 6-5 record, BU will return to action on Thursday, March 28 against Albany with action set for 3 p.m.
