
Terriers Post 6-1 Win over Western Kentucky

MIAMI, Fla. - Continuing its spring break trip in Florida, the Boston University women's tennis team claimed a 6-1 victory over Western Kentucky on Wednesday afternoon.
Winner of two doubles and five singles matches, the Terriers improve to 6-4, while the Hilltoppers drop to 5-5.
Junior Kim McCallum and freshman Iryna Kostirko both won in doubles and singles to lead BU. They first teamed together for a 6-2 victory at the No. 3 slot. McCallum then coasted to a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles, while Kostirko rallied from a set down for 3-6, 6-4, 10-4 win at No. 3.
Juniors Lauren Davis and Madison Craft sealed the doubles point with a hard-fought 7-5 win at No. 2. Classmate Johanna Hyoty (#1), sophomore Barbara Rodriguez (#4) and sophomore Iris Lin (#5) all won in straight sets in singles action to help BU claim the team victory.
The Terriers will next scrimmage with Barry, No. 2 in NCAA D-II rankings, on Friday (March 13) in Miami before ending the trip at Florida International on Saturday (March 14).
