WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Ten members of the Boston University women's ice hockey team were named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team, the league office announced on Wednesday.
This is the second time in the last three seasons that 10 Terriers have been named to the WHEA All-Academic Team. To qualify, each student-athlete must achieve a grade-point average of 3.0 or better in each of the two academic periods during which she was actively competing.
Senior Shannon Doyle, junior Kayla Tutino and sophomore Victoria Hanson all made the squad for the second straight season. They joined seven first-time selections, including two freshmen in Rebecca Leslie and Anna Streifel.
Sarah Bayersdorfer capped her four-year career at BU with an All-Academic nod. She joined juniors Jordan Juron, Sarah Lefort, Lillian Ribeirinha-Braga and Alexis Woloschuk as a first-time honoree.
