Denver Post – Rapids striker Dominique Badji develops into composed goal scorer in his second MLS season
Boston University men's soccer alum Dominique Badji ('14) will enter his first Major League Soccer (MLS) playoff appearance on a high after helping the Colorado Rapids finish second in the Supporters' Shield standings and earn their first-ever unbeaten record at home.
Drafted 67th overall in the 2015 MLS Draft, Badji has developed into a key contributor for the Rapids, who posted their best-ever regular season record at 15-6-13. In Sunday's regular season finale, Badji tallied his fourth assist of the year to help Colorado tie Houston, 1-1, and become the fifth-ever squad in league history to avoid a loss at home.
Last season, he tallied two goals in 15 games and came back this year to record six goals and four assists in 27 appearances, including 17 starts.
Colorado will enter the MLS playoffs with an opening round bye as the No. 2 seed.
