BOSTON—The Boston University women's soccer team heads to Bucknell for the Patriot League Tournament, starting with the semifinal game on Friday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.
The second-seeded Terriers are set to face No. 5 seed Navy who upset No. 4 seed Colgate on Tuesday night in the quarterfinal round. The game is set to air live on the Patriot League Network.
BACK-TO-BACK DEFENDERS OF THE YEAR
Rachel Bloznalis lived up to the hype as the preseason favorite went on to earn Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year distinction. She is the second consecutive Terrier to receive the honor after McKenzie Hollenbaugh was named the best defender in the conference last season.
Bloznalis came into the season as the only returning All-Patriot League First Team defender in the conference and put her talents on display as she helped the Terriers shut out five conference opponents this season and limited Patriot League schools to just 3.33 shots on goal per game.
SEVEN ALL-CONFERENCE SELECTIONS
The Terriers placed seven on the All-Patriot League Teams including Rachel Bloznalis and Julianna Chen, who both earned first-team recognition.
Jesse Shreck and Dorrie Varley-Barrett both earned spots for the first time in their career, making the All-PL Third Team, while Rachel Blauner, Erica Kosienski and McKenna Doyle were named All-Patriot League players for the second consecutive year.

SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
NO. 1 BUCKNELL
The Bison lost their first game of the season with just two games remaining in the regular season, which allowed the Terriers to claim a share of the Patriot League Regular Season Title. The head-to-head went in Bucknell's favor, as BU's one conference loss was to the Bison, which gave them the top seeding and hosting responsibilities.
The Bison are led by Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year and Student-Athlete of the Year Kendall Ham, who leads the league with 15 goals and 34 points. Goalkeeper of the Year Jessica Ratner currently leads the conference in goals against average, posting a .596 mark this season. She also ranks second in the conference with a .853 save percentage.
THIS SEASON: The Bison began the year on a 16-game unbeaten streak, which included 15 wins, but it came to a close on Oct. 22 against Lehigh when they suffered a 3-2 loss.
ALL-TIME SERIES: The two teams have met five times, all-time, with Bucknell winning just one match against the Terriers, which came earlier this year.
LAST TIME AGAINST THE BISON: In a rematch of the 2015 Patriot League title game, the Bison avenged their loss and took their first-ever win over the Terriers, 2-0, to open the conference schedule.
NO. 5 NAVY
Navy comes into the semifinal round after taking an upset victory over Colgate in the quarterfinal round on Tuesday. The Mids are 9-10-2 on the season and will have to get past the Terriers, who they have not scored on in 497 minutes.
Navy is led by Clare MacAdam, who has 17 points off of six goals and five assists. Rachel Feldman leads the team in goals with seven so far this season and Cadie Higginson has been a big contributor as well this season, totaling six goals and two assists.
THIS SEASON: The Mids have had a rollercoaster of a season, with its longest win streak coming late in the season, defeating Howard, Colgate and American before suffering two straight losses to Lafayette and Boston University, which is how their regular season ended.
ALL-TIME SERIES: BU leads the all-time series, 5-1-0, and have not lost a game since their first-ever Patriot League contest, which Navy took with a 1-0 victory. That was also the one and only goal the Mids have ever scored on the Terriers.
LAST TIME AGAINST THE MIDS: BU won't have to write up a new scouting report this week as the Terriers will play the Mids for the second-straight game. BU finished the regular season with a 2-0 win over Navy, thanks to goals from two seniors on Senior Day.
NO. 6 LAFAYETTE
The Leopards also come to the semifinal round by way of the upset, snatching a two-overtime, 1-0 win against third-seeded Lehigh on Tuesday night. They enter the semifinal matchup even on the season, 7-7-4.
Melissa Lynskey leads the team with nine goals including three game-winners this season while Kaelin King has been her best helper, tallying seven assists so far this year. Kelly O'Brien and Danielle Sedillo split minutes in net and O'Brien enters the game with a .84 goals against average and a .821 save percentage while Sedillo has a 1.10 GAA and .806 save percentage.
THIS SEASON: The Leopards started the season strong, going undefeated for the first five games but had mixed results for the remainder of the season and finished the regular season with a 3-5-1 conference record.
ALL-TIME SERIES: The Terriers are undefeated against the Leopards, 4-0-0, and have only allowed one goal in their entire history.
LAST TIME AGAINST THE LEOPARDS: BU took a 3-0 victory over Lafayette to cap a four-game shutout streak at the beginning of conference play. Jesse Shreck, Rachel Bloznalis and McKenna Doyle all scored in the contest.
