
Terriers End PL Slate with 7-0 Win over Lehigh

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Competing in the final conference match of the regular season, the Boston University women's tennis team rolled to a 7-0 sweep over Lehigh.
After claiming the doubles point by a combined score of 18-3 in three matches, the Terriers won all 12 sets in singles action to improve to 9-7, while the Mountain Hawks fell to 8-7.
Senior Lauren Davis and freshman Remi Ramos led BU with a dominating 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles. They carried the momentum into singles and dropped a team-low four games apiece at lines 2 (6-1, 6-3) and 6 (6-4, 6-0), respectively.
Senior Johanna Hyoty and freshman Sabrina Faybyshev teamed for a 6-2 victory in the No. 1 doubles slot and also rolled to straight-set singles wins at line 1 and 4, respectively.
Sophomore Iryna Kostirko and junior Barbara Rodriguez sealed the deal by first posting a 6-1 score at No. 2 doubles and then earning straight-set victories in the No. 3 (6-3, 7-5) and 5 (7-5, 6-2) slots, respectively.
The Terriers will next conclude the regular season against Boston College on Friday, April 15, before traveling south to the Patriot League tournament at Navy on April 22-24.
