HISTORY WITH BROWN
- BU and Brown have not met since the 2010-11 season.
- The teams have split the four games at 1-1-2, though the Terriers won the last meeting, 4-0, on Jan. 2, 2011.
- BU and Brown tied, 2-2, in the teams' first meeting on Jan. 18, 2006, and also skated to a tie on Jan. 10, 2010, at Walter Brown (5-5).
- The Bears' one victory came at Walter Brown on Dec. 5, 2006, a 3-1 triumph.
LAST TIME AGAINST BROWN
- BU blanked Brown, 4-0, on Jan. 2, 2011, at Meehan Auditorium.
- All three Terrier Olympians that played in that game recorded at least one point, with Marie-Philip Poulin (1g, 2a), Jenn Wakefield (1g, 1a) and Catherine Ward (1a) all contributing to the victory.
- Current assistant Tara Watchorn was not in the lineup, as she was on Team Canada duty.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters Tuesday's tilt with just one win in 10 games, a 3-2 triumph at Dartmouth on Nov. 11.
- That victory snapped a seven-game losing streak to start the season.
- Brown has allowed at least three goals in each loss.
- Seniors Sam Donovan (3g, 5a) and Samantha Swanstrom (4g, 4a) are tied for the team lead with eight points, with Swanstrom leading the squad in goals.
- Donovan and junior Cara Najjar each have a team-high five assists.
- Three netminders have seen action in at least three games, with sophomore Calla Isaac and freshman Lauren Rippy each playing in five contests.
- Isaac has started in all five of her appearances, posting a 4.45 goals-against average and an .882 save percentage while also earning the Bears' lone victory.
- Rippy is 0-4-0 with a 6.07 goals-against average and an .844 save percentage.
BACH NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK
- After her five-goal, six-point weekend, senior Victoria Bach was named Hockey East Player of the Week on Monday.
- She led the nation in both goals and points thanks in part to a hat trick on Friday afternoon.
- She also tallied two goals against No. 1 Wisconsin on Saturday.
- This is the second straight week that Bach has taken home this honor.
JUST HOW GOOD HAS BACH BEEN?
- In her last four games, Victoria Bach has tallied 10 goals and two assists for 12 points.
- She has outscored 24 Division I women's teams and 30 Division I men's teams in that stretch.
- No other player, male or female, has tallied two hat tricks this season.
- Bach is now tied for second in the country with 15 goals and her 26 points are tied for fourth-most in the NCAA.
- An NCAA-best 13 of her 15 goals have come at even strength.
- She has been held without a point just twice this season.
- Bach is also one of just two players in the entire nation, male or female, to average over six shots on goal per game.
LESLIE CONTINUES TO SHINE
- One reason for Victoria Bach's recent success has been the impressive play of her linemate, senior captain Rebecca Leslie.
- Leslie finished this past weekend with two assists in each tilt, providing the primary helper on four of Bach's five goals.
- Over the last four games, Leslie has had the primary assist on eight of Bach's 10 goals, and dating back to Oct. 22, Leslie has had the primary assist on all but two of Bach's 13 markers.
- She has tallied 12 points (4g, 8a) during her current five-game point streak and has notched a point in nine of her last 10 games (10g, 13a).
- Leslie is tied for third amongst all NCAA players in their last 10 games with 23 points.
NEXT UP
- BU will begin a home-and-home series against No. 2 Boston College on Friday in Chestnut Hill.
- The Terriers will then welcome the Eagles to Walter Brown on Saturday at 3 p.m.
