
Tatlow Victory Highlights Day Three of PL Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Highlighted by junior diver Kyra Tatlow's second victory, the Boston University women's swimming & diving team featured a combined seven top-eight finishes during the third day of the Patriot League Championships on Friday at Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium.
BU completed day three in third place with 396 points, just 5.5 behind Army and 61.5 ahead of No. 4 Bucknell. Defending champion Navy leads with 602 points.
Previously winner of the 3-meter title on Wednesday, Tatlow posted the top prelim score of 284.10 in the 1-meter and then the top final score of 289.45, 21.45 points higher than Navy's runner-up Maddie Keiser. The Terriers dominated the event with six divers finishing in the top 16. Junior Lizzie Tillo (4th), senior Kalli Roebelen (5th) and freshman Hanna King (8th) all joined Tatlow in placing in the top eight.
Freshman Carly Soares recorded the highest finish for the Terriers in a swimming event on Friday by taking third in the 400 IM at 4:21.05. Senior Isabella Olivares also qualified for an "A" final and finished eighth in the 100 back at 57.29. Olivares ended the night swimming the final leg of the 200 free relay to help teammates Julimar Avila, Christy Wilde and Meghan Egan finish fourth.
Sophomore Erin Nabney just missed out on the A final in the 200 free prelims but came back to win the B final at night with a time of 1:49.74 for a ninth-place finish overall.
The Terriers will head back into the pool on Saturday for the final day, with prelims beginning at 10 a.m.
