BOSTON - The No. 13/15 Boston University men's ice hockey team returns to action on Friday (Oct. 19) when it welcomes the U.S. National Under-18 Team to Agganis Arena for an exhibition contest. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.

The Terriers officially opened their 2018-19 season last weekend at then-No. 11 Minnesota State and dropped a pair of contests to the Mavericks. BU's first exhibition of the year on Oct. 6 resulted in a 7-1 victory over Acadia. On Saturday (Oct. 20), the Terriers will return to the regular season for good when they visit Merrimack in their Hockey East opener.

BU and the U.S. National Team were supposed to play on Jan. 5 of last season but inclement weather prevented Team USA from getting to Boston. Three current freshmen (Jack DeBoer, Joel Farabee, Jake Wise) were all members of that U18 team. That trio brings the total of U.S. National Team Development Program alumni to have played at BU to 38.

The Terriers are 6-1-1 all-time against the U.S. Under-18 Team with the lone loss coming during the 2015-16 season.

Sophomore David Farrance, a U.S. NTDP alumnus, has a team-best four points after tallying four assists over the weekend in Mankato. Senior Bobo Carpenter is right behind with two goals and an assist while juniors Dante Fabbro (1g, 1a) and Patrick Harper (2a) have two points apiece.
