Terriers Resume Patriot League Action at Navy Saturday Night

BOSTON – Following Tuesday's matchup against Northeastern, the Boston University men's soccer team will resume the conference schedule at Navy on Saturday night with an 8 p.m. start time.
TERRIER TIDBITS- With four conference games remaining, the Terriers are currently sixth in the PL standings at seven points, only five behind leader Lehigh with Colgate and American tied for fourth at eight points.
- BU is 1-3-2 in road games this season with a 1-0 win at Holy Cross and draws to both Boston College (3-3) and four-time defending Ivy League champion Dartmouth (2-2) ... The Terriers have two one-goal losses and most recently a 3-1 defeat at PL preseason favorite Loyola Maryland.
- Despite missing two conference games due to injury, junior Satchel Cortet leads the Terriers with five points in PL action off two goals and an assist.
- Four Terriers have scored in PL contests with junior Mana Chavlali last scoring at Loyola.
- Both Cortet and freshman Kari Petursson are the leading active players with seven points apiece, as junior Matt McDonnell (6g) has missed the last nine games to injury.
- Senior defender David Riccio is the only Terrier to start all 14 games and is one of four alongside Cortet, Chavali and senior Josh Barkoff to have played over 1,000 minutes this year.
- Senior keeper Mike Bernardi has started all five PL games, posting a .750 save percentage and 1.14 goals against average (GAA).
- The Midshipmen are 1-5-1 at home with a 4-0 win over Howard and 1-1 draw against College of Charleston ... They are playing at home for the first time since a 3-2 loss to American on Oct. 3.
- Navy has been outscored in conference play, 14-5, with three one-goal losses (American, Holy Cross, Lehigh).
- Jacob Williams leads Navy with four goals and eight points, while Diego Manrique owns two goals.
- Six different Mids have recorded an assist.
- Ian Bramblett has started nine games at net, posting a 1.72 goals against average with .660 save percentage ... Tyler Fahning (2.57 GAA, .526 save %) has started the other four contests.
- Opponents are averaging 1.8 more shots per game and have outscored the Mids, 25-11.
- The Terriers lead the all-time series, 4-1-0, with the lone loss occurring at Navy (1-0) in 2013.
- Last season at Nickerson Field, sophomore Toti Knutsson headed in a failed clear in the 25th minute for a 1-0 win with BU posting a 14-8 advantage in shots and Bernardi tallying two saves.
- In the last visit to Annapolis in 2015, Navy struck first in the 17th minute but senior T.J. Butzke netted the equalizer at 50:32 to send the game to OT.
- BU earned the 2-1 win with the help of an own goal in the 109th minute after a defender headed in a cross from the Terriers.
