ANNAPOLIS, Md. – After senior Adam Wright headed in his first-career collegiate goal off a cross from sophomore Toti Knutsson, Navy struck twice in the final 20 minutes of regulation to defeat the Boston University men's soccer team, 2-1, on Saturday night at the GlennWarner Facility.

The come-from-behind win helped the Midshipmen (2-11-1, 1-5-0 PL) snap a four-game losing streak to the Terriers (3-9-3, 2-3-1 PL), who dropped their fifth one-goal decision of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The teams went to the locker room at the half in a 0-0 deadlock with a 2-2 tie in shot attempts despite BU owning a 5-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Wright put BU on the scoreboard first in the 51st minute by heading in Knutsson's cross from the right wing at the top of the six-yard box.
Navy went on the attack afterwards, attempting the game's next six shot attempts with Bayne Bentley netting the equalizer at 70:36.
Shortly thereafter, the Mids fended off shot attempts from freshman John Siracuse and junior Satchel Cortet along with the Terriers' seventh corner of the night to keep the game tied, 1-1.
Jacob Williams put Navy ahead for good at 84:40 by banking his shot attempt off the post with assistance from Wyatt Millard.
Tyler Fahning saved another shot from Siracuse at 85:59 to preserve the one-goal victory.

GAME NOTES

With his goal, Wright became the seventh Terrier to find the back of the net this season and the 12th to earn at least one point.
Knutsson grabbed the team lead for assists with his fourth helper and is now fifth on the team with four points.
Both senior Mike Bernardi and Fahning had three saves apiece, as Navy finished with a 12-8 advantage in shots despite BU tallying four more corners (7-3).
The Terriers are now 4-2-0 all-time against the Mids.

NEXT UP: ARMY WEST POINT

The Terriers will return to Nickerson Field for the final two home games of the regular season, starting on Wednesday (Oct. 24) against the Black Knights.
With three conference games left, Army currently owns the sixth and final PL tournament spot with nine points in the standings, two ahead of the Terriers.
BU is 6-2-1 against the Black Knights under head coach Neil Roberts and is currently riding a five-game unbeaten streak with four wins by a combined score of 7-1 and a 1-1 draw.
BU last year claimed a 3-1 road victory following a 1-0 win in 2016 at Nickerson Field.
