HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Cameron Healy flushed a 3-pointer for early 10-6 lead, McCoy hit a jumper and the first of his four treys in response to spark a 15-1 run capped by freshman Jack Hemphill's tip-in at 10:31.
- The Great Danes cut the deficit to six (24-18) at 6:27 on Rayshawn Miller's jumper, but Scanlon and McCoy hit back-to-back bombs to force Albany to burn its third timeout.
- BU entered the locker room leading, 37-26, with an 8-of-11 performance from behind the arc.
- Mathon opened the second-half scoring with a layup, and Scanlon put the Terriers ahead, 46-28, at 15:47 with one of his own.
- BU grabbed its largest lead of the game, 56-35, five minutes later following freshman Jonas Harper's 3-pointer and redshirt-freshman Alex Vilarino's layup.
- Cameron Healy heated up for Albany with a pair of 3-pointers and a jumper to key a 14-2 run that cut the Great Danes' deficit to single digits for the first time in the second half, 58-49, with 6:16 remaining.
- Mathon stopped the rally with a turnaround jumper before the shot clock to put BU's lead at double digits for good.
- BU improved to 20-9 all-time against the Great Danes and have now won 10 of the last 11 meetings.
- Eleven Terriers played at least six minutes apiece and contributed at least one rebound with six contributing seven-plus points.
- Mathon tied a career high with two blocks.
- Healy led Albany with 20 points on 6-of-16 shooting, while Adam Lulka recorded 10 points and six rebounds.
- The Terriers will continue the six-game road trip by visiting Mid-American Conference member Eastern Michigan for the first time since Dec. 22, 1990.
- The Eagles lead the all-time series, 2-1, after pulling out a 72-69 win at the 1997 Arizona State Classic.
