CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – For the second consecutive season, junior Remi Ramos has earned Academic All-Patriot League honors, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
To earn a spot on the six-person squad, a student-athlete must be a valuable contributor to her team and own a GPA at or above 3.20.
On the court, Ramos collected 11 wins at line 2 singles. During the regular season, the Parkland, Florida, native posted impressive wins against Boston College, Harvard, Navy, Lehigh, UConn, Utah State and Liberty. Back in the fall as the Patriot League's representative at the Oracle ITA Masters Tournament, she won a set against nationally-ranked players from Winthrop (#55) and Idaho (#71) before ultimately coming up just short in hard-fought contests. She also earned 12 doubles victories at line 1 with freshman Lily Burchell, collecting key wins against Brown, Harvard, Utah State, Memphis and Liberty.
In the classroom, Ramos boasts a stellar 3.75 GPA while majoring in business administration and management. She's on track to be named to her third straight Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and ITA Scholar-Athlete list this summer for owning a GPA above 3.50.
