Women's Tennis Named ITA All-Academic Team; Seven Terriers Earn ITA Scholar-Athlete Honors

BOSTON – For the third consecutive year, Boston University women's tennis has been recognized as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team with seven student-athletes also receiving ITA Scholar-Athlete status. The seven honorees mark the most for BU in over 15 years.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must have at least a 3.50 for the academic year.
The Terriers posted a BU athletic department-high 3.60 GPA for the academic year with all 11 members recording at least a 3.24 GPA.
Rising senior Remi Ramos was honored as a ITA Scholar-Athlete for the third time with a 3.81 GPA while classmates Sophia Kryloff (3.78) and Kaely Malik (3.75) were recognized a second time. Rising junior Clara Falxa posted a team-high 3.91 GPA to earn her second award.
BU also featured three newcomers to the list with rising senior Sabrina Faybyshev (3.71), sophomore Emily Kim (3.84) and Lily Burchell (3.56) all earning the nod.
