McDonnell Adds Pair of National Honors to Weekly Awards Haul

BOSTON – After recording a pair of goals in the thrilling come-from-behind victory over UMass, junior Matt McDonnell has been named to both the College Soccer News and TopDrawer Soccer's National Team of the Week.
On Monday, the Smithtown, New York, native repeated as the Patriot League's Offensive Player of the Week. He was previously recognized by both the PL and TopDrawer Soccer for recording the Terriers' first hat trick in a decade at Boston College.
In the win over the Minutemen, he scored twice in the second half to key the successful really. He currently owns a PL-high five goals this season after earning seven total through the first 35 appearances as a Terrier.
BU will next be on the pitch on Tuesday (Sept. 11) at Dartmouth with the ESPN+ broadcast set for 5 p.m.
