June 24, 2026 | Men's Soccer
BOSTON – Highlighted by eight home games at Nickerson Field and pair of non-conference matchups against NCAA tournament participants, the Boston University men's soccer program and head coach Kevin Nylen have announced the 2026 schedule.
The Terriers' 78th season at the varsity level will kick off with a three-game road trip beginning at defending Sun Belt champion UCF on Thursday, Aug. 20. The home opener is set for Friday, Sept. 4, against New Hampshire with the second contest at Nickerson Field slated to include defending America East champion Vermont on Tuesday, Sept. 8. In total, after placing No. 67 in the RPI rankings last fall on a 10-8 record, BU will face off against eight opponents who finished the 2025 campaign in the top 100.
"Every season we look to build a schedule that will prepare our team for a challenging campaign," said Nylen. "We have a young and hungry group that is excited to compete in our season ahead."
Returning two All-Patriot League honorees in rising senior Andrea Di Blasio and junior Pharis Petrica, BU will also visit Northeastern (Aug. 28) in a local derby and Providence (Aug. 31) in their first meeting in 13 years to wrap up the month of August. The Terriers will then host the Wildcats, Catamounts and lastly Army West Point (Sept. 12) in the Patriot League opener as part of their longest homestand of the year.
The two other derbies will take place at Nickerson Field with Harvard (Sept. 22) and Boston College (Oct. 13) making the short trek to campus.
Seeking its third PL regular season title in four years, BU will also welcome Bucknell (Sept. 27), American (Oct. 18) and Lafayette (Oct. 30). The five conference road games will take place at Navy (Sept. 19), Loyola Maryland (Oct. 3), Colgate (Oct. 9), Lehigh (Oct. 24) and finally Holy Cross in a Turnpike Trophy clash to conclude the regular season on Nov. 3.
The top six teams in the Patriot League standings will advance to the conference tournament with the top two seeds receiving a first round bye on Nov. 7 and then hosting a semifinal matchup on Nov. 10. The automatic NCAA bid will be up for grabs at the highest remaining seed on Nov. 14.
