
Terriers to Host American in PL Opener Saturday Afternoon

BOSTON – Returning home from a three-game road trip, the Boston University men's soccer team will open the Patriot League schedule against American on Saturday with the Youth Day soccer doubleheader slated to begin at 1 p.m. The Terrier women will follow at 4 p.m. against Lehigh.

- BU was selected to finish second in the Patriot League preseason poll after claiming a 6-2-1 record last season and reaching its third semifinal in four years.
- Head coach Neil Roberts owns an all-time conference record of 148-55-34 (.696) at BU with a 22-6-8 (.722) mark over the last four years in the PL.
- Roberts has helped guide the Terriers to 12 conference regular season titles, including most recently in 2014, and also to a second-place finish in both 2015 and 2017.

- Fabio Massaro owns a team-high three goals with Jerry Zouantcha and Brenner Jarrad claiming two goals apiece.
