RESULTS
BOSTON - Hosting Boston College in its final dual meet of the regular season, the Boston University women's swimming & diving team picked up 26 of the final 36 points on the day to edge the Eagles, 152-148, Saturday at Competition Pool.
Seniors Julimar Avila, Erin Nabney, Marisa Reidemeister, Brittany Steinfeld and Allison Winter were all honored before the meet.
With the outcome of the meet to be decided by the 400 free relay free, the quartet of Sydney Lee, Francesca Leung, Sydney Brown, Julimar Avila clocked in two seconds ahead of the Eagles at 3:24.81 for the top finish.
Nabney broke the school record in the 200 IM with a time of 2:01.85. Lee closed out a dominant regular season with three individual wins in the 200, 100 and 500 free to go with the 400 free relay victory. Carly Soares earned first-place finishes in the 1000 free and 200 breast, while Katherine Russack swept the diving events.
Thanks to its third straight dual meet victory, BU finishes the regular season with a 6-5 record, picking up three of those wins at Competition Pool.
