BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Picking up the season after a week off from action, the Boston University women's soccer team fell 1-0 to Lehigh Saturday afternoon at the Ulrich Sports Complex.

How It Happened

Ashley Buck nearly put the Terriers on the board in the 10th minute, heading a service off a corner kick by Anna Heilferty, just missing the frame.
Lehigh had a similar chance in the 23rd minute, sending a header of its own off a corner kick towards the inside post, but Chloee Sagmoe stepped up for the defensive save.
Working off a free kick, Lehigh's Ryelle Shuey drove a shot towards the left-side post, but Mary Casey redirected the shot in the opposite direction to put the Mountain Hawks on the board with five minutes left in the first half.
Lehigh nearly struck again just three minutes later, but Amanda Fay made a diving one-handed save to keep it a one-goal deficit at the half.
Shannon Keefe had a breakaway chance in the 58th minute, but Miranda Royds held her post to prevent the equalizer.
McKenna Kennedy had the final chance for the Terriers, ripping a shot from the right side of the six-yard box, but Royds preserved the shutout.

Game Notes

BU recorded a season-high 20 shots for the game.
Heilferty, Keefe and Kennedy led the way with four shots apiece, while Keefe placed a team-best three on frame.
Saturday marked Lehigh's first win against the Terriers.
