BOSTON – Hosting Harvard in its final non-conference game of the season, the Boston University women's soccer team fell 2-0 Tuesday afternoon at Nickerson Field.

- Harvard had a golden opportunity on a one-on-one chance in the 13th minute, firing a strike straight on from 20 yards out, but Emma Heil made a spectacular diving save on the first test of the day.
- Heil continued to be a brick wall, making three straight full-extension diving saves over a two-minute span.
- Julianna Stureman and Marli Rajacich both lined shots on goal in the 36th minute, though Harvard's keeper held her post.
- After landing 16 shots over the first 43 minutes, the Crimson broke through, heading in a loose ball off a deflection to make it a 1-0 game.
- Harvard tacked on another score in the 52nd minute, lining a one-timer from 15 yards out into the upper right corner.
- Heil finish with 10 saves, including seven in the first half, in her first career start in net.
- Harvard's first goal marked the end of a 354-minute home scoreless streak.
- Tuesday was first match since 2013 between BU and Harvard that was not decided by one goal.
- The Terriers will return to Patriot League play on Saturday, Oct. 19 against Colgate.
- Prior to opening kick at 2 p.m., BU seven-member senior class will be honored in a pregame ceremony.
