BOSTON - The 13th annual Terrier Tailgate will take place on Sunday, Sept. 1 as the Boston University women's soccer team welcomes Michigan State for its home opener.
Admission is free and fans are encouraged to arrive early for free food, pre-game festivities, giveaways, and more. Terrier Tailgate begins an hour prior to the men's team kicking off against Boston College at 4 p.m.

PARKING ADVISORY
- Due to multiple events on campus this Friday, Aug. 30, through Monday, Sept. 2 parking will be limited. Also, be advised that Labor Day Weekend is move-in time for BU students both on campus and throughout the City of Boston.
- BU is still searching for its first goal of the season after dropping a 3-0 decision at Boston College on Thursday.
- The Terriers have dominated on their home turf, posting a 180-40-20 all-time record.
- In home openers, BU is 14-8-2, and has outscored opponents, 37-21.
- BU has displayed its depth as nineteen different Terriers have seen the field in all three games, while 25 of 28 active players have logged minutes.
- The Spartans remained undefeated after blanking Eastern Michigan, 2-0, on Thursday to move to 3-0 on the season.
- Gia Wahlberg, the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, leads the team with eight points after a four-game effort in the first half against Marshall Aug. 25.
- Sydney Kloosterman, Camryn Evans, and Danielle Stephan follow with four points apiece.
- Michigan State has outscored opponents 10-2 and limited visitors to just 6.7 shots per game through the first three games.
- Laura Kozal has started all three games in net, averaging an .818 save percentage to go with a 0.70 goals against average.
- Michigan State took the series debut last season in East Lansing, 2-0.
- Despite the loss, BU held the advantage in shots (12-5), shots on goal (6-2) and corners (8-5).
- BU will return to the road Thursday, Sept. 5 at Princeton. Match time is set for 6 p.m.
