BOSTON - Following earning its first win of the season in dramatic fashion, the Boston University women's soccer team will return to Nickerson Field on Sunday, Sept. 15 for a 2 p.m. bout against Rhode Island.

The matchup is part of BU Athletics' second annual Pride Week, celebrating the LGBTQA+ community on campus. BU Pride decals will be available to fans while supplies last.

TERRIER TIDBITS

Geo Pereira netted her first career goal in the 102nd minute Thursday night against Northeastern, lifting the Terriers to a 1-0 victory.
Morgan Messner recorded her second double overtime shutout of the season, making six saves.
Messner and Amanda Fay have rotated starts in net, while each has made at least six saves in each of the last four games.
The Terrier defense locked in on the Huskies attack over the final 57 minutes of play, limiting them to eight shots after fending off nine shots in the first half.
BU has used a different starting lineup and has used at least eight substitutions in all seven games.

SCOUTING RHODE ISLAND

The Rams are unbeaten over their last four games, posting a pair of shutouts to go with a pair of double overtime 1-1 draws.
The four-game unbeaten streak marks the longest for Rhode Island since the 2012 season.
With three wins this season, the Rams have matched their win total from the past two seasons combined.
Rhode Island has displayed its youth as freshmen have accounted for 11 of the team's 15 points.
Rookie Brooke Cavino has scored twice over the last three games, while Kelly Fitzgerald has served a team-best two assits.
Teresa Morriseey has started all six games in between the pipes, limiting opponents to just 0.46 goals per game.

THE SERIES

Sunday will break a 10-year hiatus between the two schools.
The Terriers lead 7-2 in the all-time series against the Rams, though Rhode Island nabbed its two victories at Nickerson Field.
Four of BU's wins in the series have come via shutout.
