TR24 Gear to Benefit Travis Roy Foundation Available Now

BOSTON - The logo that the Boston University men's ice hockey team will be wearing this season to honor the life of Travis Roy will be sold on Under Armour apparel with all proceeds going to the Travis Roy Foundation.
The team is wearing patches on their jerseys to honor Travis Roy and Jack Kelley and the TR24 will be worn as a helmet decal by BU's women's hockey team. The Department of Athletics has teamed up with BSN Sports to create a line of TR24 apparel to benefit the foundation. Roy, who was paralyzed on his first collegiate shift for the Terriers 25 years ago, passed away on Oct. 30. In the years that passed after the injury, Roy went on to inspire not only the college hockey world, but people across the country thanks to his efforts with his foundation. Roy channeled his energy into raising millions of dollars to help others with spinal-cord injuries and becoming an inspirational speaker while advocating for medical research.
