ALLSTON, Mass. – Facing its first nationally-ranked opponent of the season, the Boston University men's tennis team fell at No. 14 Harvard, 5-0, on Sunday night.
The Crimson (11-1) won two doubles matches by a combined score of `12-3 for the 1-0 advantage and added four singles points in straight sets to shut out the Terriers (3-5).

- Harvard claimed a 6-1 win at line 3 in doubles and added a 6-2 victory in the top match.7-6.
- Sophomore Max Hartenstein and freshman Kirill Belov faced a 4-3 deficit when their No. 2 match was halted.
- The Crimson just dropped five total games in a pair of straight set wins in the No. 5 and 6 slots.
- Junior Pedro Gutierrez was a tiebreaker away from forcing a third set at line 4 but ultimately came up short, 6-0, 7-6.
- Junior David Bogatin battled No. 68 Ronan Jachuck to the end in a hard-fought 7-5, 6-4 loss in the top singles match.
- Harvard was ahead in the other two matches when they were halted.
- The Terriers will head to the midwest as part of a return trip for senior and Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, native Marc Sable.
- They will first visit Toledo in Ohio on Friday (Feb. 28) at 1 p.m. and then visit the University of Michigan on Sunday (March 1) with 4 p.m. start time.
