Women's Tennis Named ITA All-Academic Team; Seven Terriers Earn ITA Scholar-Athlete Honors

BOSTON – For the fifth consecutive year, Boston University women's tennis has claimed Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team honors with seven student-athletes also receiving ITA Scholar-Athlete status.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must have at least a 3.50 for the academic year.
The Terriers finished with a 3.00+ GPA for the sixth straight year and ended with a 3.51 GPA. Recent graduate Clara Falxa was honored as an ITA Scholar-Athlete for the fourth time, while rising senior Emily Kim earned her third award.
Rising senior Katya Martens, senior Alex Angyalosy, senior Mia Wallace and junior Shelly Yaloz were recognized for the second time. Sophomore Sofia Kostirko claimed her first award as well.
