January 19, 2021 | Men's Ice Hockey, Women's Ice Hockey
WAKEFIELD, Mass. - In addition to the Boston University men's ice hockey team hosting a two-game series against Maine this weekend, the BU women's ice hockey team will also welcome the Black Bears to Walter Brown Arena for a pair of games, Hockey East announced on Tuesday.
Friday's men's ice hockey game against Maine will be played as originally scheduled at 3:30 p.m., with the tilt to be televised live on NESN and TSN2. Saturday will feature the first-ever men's and women's ice hockey doubleheader at Walter Brown Arena, as the men are slated to conclude their weekend series at 1 before the women begin their two-game set with the Black Bears at 6:30. The women will then face Maine on Sunday at 3. Information on how to watch all four games is located at GoTerriers.com/cbs.
Additionally, in a decision aimed at allowing the maximum amount of games to be scheduled for each member school, Hockey East announced today that previously released composite schedules for both the men's and women's leagues will be set aside and the remainder of the 2020-21 season will continue to be scheduled on a weekly basis. The move comes with a stated goal to create as much variety and parity in the schedule as possible while adhering to all required health and safety protocols with a maximum of seven weeks remaining in the regular season.
