Women's Basketball Back At Case Gym On Monday To Host UNH

BOSTON, Mass. – Returning to Babcock Street following a three-game road trip, the Boston University women's basketball team plays its final game at Case Gym in the 2021 calendar year, taking on UNH on Monday, Dec. 13. Opening tip is set for 6 p.m.
The matchup also serves as BU's final home non-conference game of the season before Patriot League play begins at the end of December. The Terriers aim to establish its first winning streak of the season following its win at Merrimack last Thursday. So far in 2021, BU has gone 8-4 at The Roof, dating back to the start of the 2020-21 campaign.
UNH returns to action after its previous game against Commonwealth Avenue rival Boston College, originally scheduled for Saturday, was canceled and declared a no contest. The Wildcats are currently on a three-game losing streak, and seek their first road victory of the year.
Monday is Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Night; season ticket holders will receive concession vouchers as well as a gift at the marketing table in the Case lobby.

TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU snapped a four-game slide with a 66-52 road triumph over the Warriors in the first meeting in program history.
- Junior Maggie Pina and sophomore Caitlin Weimar paced the Terrier offense with season-highs of 16 points each. Pina drained a season-best four three-points, while Weimar shot 7-for-9 from the field.
- Junior Maren Durant tied a career-high with 15 rebounds, falling one point shy of a double-double. Classmate Liz Shean hit a career-best three triples for 12 points off the bench, and Sydney Johnson posted seven assists.
- Thanks to a 40 percent shooting performance from downtown, BU boosted their season percentage to .376 to lead the Patriot League and sit 21st in the nation.
- Pina, who leads BU with 14 three-pointers this year, has four games with three of more makes from beyond the arc. BU has won three of those games.
- Four Terriers are hitting at least 40 percent of their three-point shots: Shean (.571 on 8-of-14), senior Riley Childs (.500 on 7-of-14), Pina (.412 on 14-of-34), and Johnson (.409 on 9-of-22).
- Shean has hit a three-pointer on five consecutive games, and leads all guards with a .548 field goal percentage. She has shot 44 percent or better in four of her last five games.
- Johnson, currently averaging a career-high 13.8 points per game, is averaging six assists per contest in her last three after totaling six assists combined in her first five games.
- Durant is the lone post player to play in all eight games so far, pacing the squad with 7.6 caroms per contest. She has 34 rebounds in her last three matchups.
- In her last five games, Weimar is averaging 7.2 boards while shooting 63.6 percent from the field. She ranks second on the team with 8.6 points per game.
- Seven Terriers average more than 6.5 points per game, and nine Terriers play at least 12 minutes per contest or more.
- UNH is 3-5 on the season, most recently falling 50-49 to Patriot League foe Holy Cross at the buzzer last Wednesday.
- New Hampshire's wins this year have come against Dartmouth, Fisher, and Siena. In addition to the Crusaders, the setbacks on the three-game losing streak have come against Wagner and Bryant.
- The Wildcats also dropped a 78-52 contest to Northeastern. Their next two games after Monday will be against foes BU previously faced in Merrimack and UMass Lowell.
- As a team, UNH limits opponents to 58.3 points per game, and force 22.5 turnovers per contest.
- Amanda Torres leads the Wildcats with 11.5 points per game, and shares the lead of 23 assists with Héléna Delaruelle.
- Head Coach Kelsey Hogan is in her second season leading New Hampshire.
- BU and UNH will face off for the 76th time in program history, which will tie Vermont as the Terriers' second-most common opponent in team history (Northeastern - 78).
