How It Happened
- Pereira made her presence known in the attacking third immediately, lacing three of BU's (2-1, 2-1 PL) initial six shots, placing two of those on frame through the opening 14 minutes.
- Oldham nearly got on the board in the 19th minute, beating a defender on the back line before lining a shot that Holy Cross's (1-1, 1-1 PL) keeper slid under for the save.
- Just three minutes later, Oldham threatened again with a strike from six yards out, where the Crusaders' keeper dove for the save, but Pereira came crashing in from the center of the box to get the Terriers on the board.
- BU's backline held the Crusaders shotless in the first half as it retained the 1-0 advantage heading into the break.
- The Terriers kept the pressure on in the second half, lining three of its six shots over the ensuing 45 minutes on frame.
- Morgan Messner and the defense were never tested as BU earned its second straight shutout.
