Hugrún Helgadóttir Added to 2021 Signing Class

BOSTON - The Boston University women's soccer team will add Hugrún Helgadóttir to its 2021 roster, head coach Nancy Feldman announced Monday.
Helgadóttir, a native of Iceland, will join the 2021 signing class of Celia Braun, Morgan Fagan, Allison Hanlon, Eileen Solomon and Erin Sullenberger. Helgadóttir is the first international player the Terriers have signed in program history.
"Hugrun comes highly regarded as an athlete, student and teammate having played at a high level in Iceland's club system," stated Feldman. "She is a versatile player who we believe will contribute as a midfielder or a back. We are excited to have her join our 2021 recruiting class."

Graduated from Commercial College of Iceland and played club for Augnablik ... Won the second league in Iceland as a freshman and played for the U-16 national team ... Captained her team as a senior ... Also competed in gymnastics.
