KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the ninth consecutive season, both the Boston University men's and women's soccer programs earned the Team Academic Award from the United Soccer Coaches (formerly known as the NSCAA). The award is the highest academic team award a program can earn and was given to those that boasted a grade point average of 3.0 or greater during the 2020-21 academic year.
A combined total of 624 soccer teams (231 men, 393 women) from the NCAA, NCCAA and NAIA were recognized, and BU was one of just 104 schools to have both of its programs honored.
Guided by head coach Nancy Feldman, the Terrier women earned a GPA of 3.51 for their 13th-straight honor, while the men under head coach Kevin Nylen claimed their ninth-consecutive award with a 3.38 GPA.
