January 21, 2022 | Men's Swimming & Diving, Women's Swimming & Diving
BOSTON – After honoring the senior class, the Boston University men's and women's swimming & diving teams will host crosstown rival Boston College on Saturday at the Competition Pool with action slated to begin at 1:30 p.m.
After dropping a 177-123 decision to Bucknell in the season opener, the Terrier men (5-1) have won five straight dual meets, including last Saturday's 217-59 win at Colgate. They are home for the first time since placing third out of five at the Terrier Invitational back in November. Junior Kyle Falkstrom won the 200 breast and placed third in the 100 breast to lead the way, while classmate Sarsen Whatmore was runner-up in the 200 free.
The women (4-3) have won their last three dual meets, including a 243-49 victory at Colgate. They took second out of six programs at the Terrier Invitational, as senior Sezin Eligul won the 100 free with a school-record time of 50.20. She also won the 100 back and helped the 400 free relay team place second. Senior diver Katherine Russack was also victorious in the 3-meter event.
Boston College will be making its second visit of the season to campus after placing first on both the men's and women's side at the Terrier Invitational.
