BOSTON - Abby Cook '20, one of the top defenders in Boston University history, has been named to this year's Women's Beanpot Hall of Fame induction class and will be BU's 10th member of the distinguished group.
Cook led the Terriers to the Beanpot title game in each of her final three seasons and played a major role in the Terriers' championship in 2019. She had a line of 2-5--7 in the three tournaments but came up big by setting up both the game-tying and game-winning goals in the 2019 Beanpot final. A native of Kelowna, B.C., Cook had a plus-5 rating in her Beanpot career and blocked 18 shots, including seven in the 2018 final. She is currently playing professionally in Switzerland for Lugano.
The induction will take place in between the Beanpot semifinal contests on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Boston College.
