
Terriers Take Sixth at ECAC Championships

NEW YORK – The Boston University women's cross country team finished sixth at the ECAC Championships at Van Cortlandt Park on Friday.
The Terriers were led by freshman Kelly Jones who placed 27th overall with a time of 21:36.2. Next in and making her collegiate debut was Adrienne Buettner-Cable with a time of 21:43.2, good for 28th. Freshmen Abby Waddington (21:53.0), Molly Kiley (22:01.5) and junior Alex Vellekoop (22:39.4) placed 36th, 45th and 97th, respectively, to round out the scoring.
Also competing for BU were freshman Kelsey Niglio (22:44.6), sophomore Samantha Seabury (22:57.0) and freshman Kaitlyn Desio (23:18.9).
Senior Marcela Perches and sophomore Lily Borin competed in the women's open 6K race. Perches placed 16th overall with a time of 23:46.7 and Borin took 32nd with a time of 24:05.7.
The Terriers will be back in action on Sat., Oct. 28, when they compete at the Patriot League Championships at Colgate.
