- However, Northeastern rattled off an extended 19-4 run, including a 14-2 burst in the final 2:42 of the frame, to take a 25-10 lead into the second quarter.
- The Huskies' largest lead of the half was 17, 30-13 two minutes into the second, but Weimar answered with an old-fashioned three-point play, and Monteagudo followed up with a three to close the gap to 11.
- Monteagudo canned another triple from the right wing, and then made two foul shots to cut the deficit to single digits, 41-32, with 1:56 until halftime.
- BU got as close as six in the stanza after Semenova drilled a three-pointer with 41 seconds on the clock, but Bristol's layup on the next possession gave Northeastern a 45-37 edge at the break.
- The Huskies replenished the double-digit lead to open the third on Erdogan's layup and Gemima Motema's jumper, but Giannaros countered with a corner three, and Weimar sank a layup to bring BU within 49-42 with 7:26 on the clock.
- Starting with freshman Audrey Ericksen's free throws at the 6:14 mark, the Terriers rattled off a 14-3 extended run to take a 56-55 lead heading to the fourth. Ericksen, Monteagudo, and Weimar made layups on consecutive possessions, then Monteagudo and freshman Aoibhe Gormley nailed threes by the right sideline.
- With 7:43 to go, Monteagudo dribbled down the baseline to feed Weimar for a layup. On the next play, Giannaros stole the ball from Batts for a layup to give BU a 62-59 lead.

- BU led by as much as five during the extra period after Semenova's three and Weimar's layup for a 78-73 edge with 1:59 on the timer.
