BOSTON - The Boston University women's soccer team is set to take on Loyola Maryland on Saturday (Sept. 16) to open Patriot League play. Opening kick at Nickerson Field is set for 1 p.m.
The upcoming contest is the first in a long stretch of conference play for the Terriers (3-3-2), as nine of their remaining ten matches are against league foes. BU posted a 6-3-0 conference record during the 2022 season, and made it to the semifinals of the Patriot League Championship as the third seed.
Loyola Maryland (5-2-0) will also begin conference play Saturday against the Terriers after finishing sixth in the Patriot League in 2022. The Greyhounds have won three in a row.
The match will be the first half of a doubleheader with the men's soccer program, who play Lehigh in their own league lidlifter at 5 p.m. In addition, Saturday marks Alumni Day for the program, as BU women's soccer graduates will be celebrated with a halftime presentation on the field.
