HOW IT HAPPENED
- After the teams exchanged defensive stops, Stefanovic opened the scoring with a 3-pointer to give UCLA the lead for good.
- Skyy Clark converted on Dailey's steal with a layup to push the Bruins' advantage to 16-5 at 13:29.
- UCLA extended its lead to 21-7 on a 3-pointer two minutes later, but BU chipped away and eventually pulled within nine, 28-19, at 2:56.
- The Bruins though scored nine straight points and ended the half with a buzzer-beating dunk to enter the locker room leading, 39-22.
- BU started the second half with a defensive stop but traveled when corralling the rebound, which led to UCLA pushing its lead to 20 on a 3-pointer.
- The Terriers held the Bruins to 35.7 FG% in the second half, but UCLA went 10-of-12 from the charity stripe to prevent any chance of a rally attempt.
- BU earned a season-high nine steals after combining for 10 over the first two games.
- Freshman Ben Defty was a perfect 2-for-2 from the field and earned his second career block but was plagued by foul trouble alongside senior Malcolm Chimezie (five rebs.), as they finished at four fouls apiece.
- UCLA improved to 3-0 all-time in the series in the teams' first meeting since 1988.
- BU will return home to host Dartmouth on Saturday (Nov. 16) at 1 p.m.
- The teams have met five times since 2018 after previously playing in 2002 with BU posting a 3-2 record, including 2-0 home mark.
- The Big Green pulled out a 63-54 victory in Hanover, New Hampshire, last December to avenge the Terriers' 67-59 win from a year prior.
