Women's Ice Hockey Announces 2024-25 Schedule

June 5, 2024

BOSTON - The Boston University women's ice hockey team has announced the schedule for its 20th varsity season as the Terriers are set to play the first half of their 2024-25 slate at Agganis Arena before moving back to a renovated Walter Brown Arena in January.

BU is scheduled to play eight games at Agganis, beginning with the season opener against Merrimack on Oct. 1. The Terriers will then make their first visit to the Twin Cities in exactly 10 years when they face Minnesota for games on Oct. 4 & 6.

Five of the other seven Agganis games will be the openers of doubleheaders with the men's program: Oct. 12 vs. Northeastern, Oct. 18 & 19 vs. Maine, Nov. 1 vs. Providence and Nov. 8 vs. Merrimack.

The Terriers are scheduled to return to Walter Brown Arena when the calendar turns to 2025 and are set to host the semifinals of the 46th Dunkin' Women's Beanpot on Jan. 14. BU will take on Harvard in the semfinals and the tournament's championship round is set for Jan. 21.

In other non-conference action, BU will visit Syracuse on Oct. 25-26 and will close out its Agganis stay with a contest against Princeton on Thanksgiving Eve (Nov. 27).

Archrival Boston College will make two visits, first on Nov. 15 at Agganis and again on Jan. 31 at Walter Brown Arena.

In all, 14 of BU's 27 Hockey East contests will take place on home ice as the Terriers will also host Holy Cross (Jan. 25), Vermont (Feb. 1), UConn (Feb. 7 & 22), Providence (Feb. 8) and New Hampshire (Feb. 15) at Walter Brown Arena. The latter UConn game will serve as Senior Day and the regular-season finale.

The Hockey East tournament starts on Feb. 26 and will again include all 10 teams.

Fans can purchase season tickets here; individual game tickets will go on sale at a later date. Discounted season ticket packages for faculty, staff and young alumni can be purchased through the ticket office (617-353-GOBU, option 4) or terriertickets@bu.edu

All five doubleheaders at Agganis will start at 3 p.m. The other game times will be announced later this summer. All home and Hockey East games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
