Women’s Ice Hockey Welcomes Concordia for Preseason Exhibition

BOSTON – The Boston University women's ice hockey team will make its first appearance of the season when it hosts Concordia for an exhibition contest on Friday (Sept. 20). Game time is set for 3 p.m. and admission is free to the public.
The two schools last met for an exhibition game on Sept. 22, 2017 when the Terriers hosted the Stingers. After Concordia took an early 1-0 lead, BU went up 2-1 in the third stanza before the Stingers scored the equalizer to send the game into overtime which ended in a 2-2 (OT) tie.
BU welcomes eight newcomers, including five freshmen, to complete its 25-player roster. Head coach Tara Watchorn enters her second season at the helm.
The Terriers will call Agganis Arena their home through the first semester due to the ongoing renovations at Walter Brown Arena.
BU will officially open its 2024-25 season on Tuesday, Oct. 1, when it hosts Merrimack.
