BOSTON - Freshman goaltender
Mikhail Yegorov has joined the Boston University men's ice hockey team, head coach
Jay Pandolfo announced on Tuesday.
Yegorov arrives at BU from the Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League, where he played 62 games from 2023-25. In 19 appearances this season, Yegorov posted a .912 save percentage and a 3.12 goals-against average. He set a single-game Lancers record by making 66 saves on Dec. 31, 2024.
"We're excited to welcome Mikhail to our program," Pandolfo said. "He is a talented and hard-working goaltender who will add depth to that position. We're looking forward to having him with us for the rest of the season and beyond."
A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, Yegorov was the second goaltender taken in the 2024 NHL Draft when he was selected in the second round (49th overall) by the New Jersey Devils. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences and plans to major in math and economics.
