BOSTON – Continuing its two-game homestand, the Boston University women's basketball program hosts Navy on Wednesday (Jan. 22). Opening tip from Case Gym is set for 11:30 a.m.

BU (7-10, 1-5 PL) looks to snap its three-game losing streak, and seeks its first win at The Roof since Dec. 1, 2024. Overall, the Terriers are 3-5 at home this year.

Navy (13-4, 5-1 PL) vies for its eighth win in its last nine contests. The Mids were victorious in their first five road matchups before falling in their most recent tilt.

Wednesday marks Boston Public Schools Day at BU, with nearly 400 students across various elementary schools expected in attendance.

The game will air on NESN in the New England area and ESPN+ nationally, with Brian Maurer (COM'07), Mason Jablonsky and Jack Hughes on the call. GoTerriers.com will provide live statistics and an audio-only broadcast, while the Patriot League supplies an international stream.

TERRIER TIDBITS

The Terriers sustained a 59-52 loss to Army West Point on Jan. 18 at Case Gym.
BU led by as many as 12 points in the third quarter, but was outscored 21-6 in the final period.
Sophomore Inés Monteagudo Pardo nailed all four of her three-point shots for a team high 12 points.
Freshman Allison Schwertner added 11 points and six rebounds.
After leading the Terriers in scoring with 12.5 points per game last week, Schwertner picked up her fourth Patriot League Rookie of the Week honor, the most among her conference counterparts this season.
Scoring 32 points in her last three games, Monteagudo is up to 55.6 percent shooting in Patriot League play.
Classmate Sisi Bentley paces BU in that category, draining 56 percent of her shots.
Sophomore Aoibhe Gormley is up to a 4.8 assist/turnover ratio against league foes, leading the Patriot League.
Senior Alex Giannaros is set to play in her 100th game as a Terrier. The Brockton, Mass. native is ninth in program history with 12.2 career points per game.

SCOUTING NAVY

After sustaining its first Patriot League loss on Jan. 15 to Colgate, Navy rebounded with a 49-47 win over Bucknell on Jan. 18.
The Mids won their first four conference contests prior to sit in a four-way tie for first in the league standings entering the week.
Three-time Patriot League Player of the Week Zanai Barnett-Gay leads both Navy and the Patriot League in scoring with 19.3 points per game.
The Mids were projected to finish seventh in the Patriot League preseason poll under fifth year head coach Tim Taylor.
Barnett-Gay was named to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team after garnering Rookie of the Year honors a season ago.
Last year, Navy went 14-17, going 9-9 with a Patriot League record to reach the Patriot League quarterfinal round as the No. 7-seed.

SERIES HISTORY

Wednesday marks the 22nd all-time meeting between BU and Navy in a series that began in 2011.
The Terriers sport an 11-10 edge in the rivalry.
BU has won seven games in a row and nine of the last 10 matchups.
At home, BU is 6-4, but running on a five-game winning streak.
The Terriers swept the regular season series last year with 62-51 and 69-60 victories. Giannaros shot 59 percent from the field in the two games, combining for 36 points.

LOOKING AHEAD

BU is back on the road, visiting Bucknell, on Saturday (Jan. 25) at 2 p.m.
From there, the Terriers return to The Roof to host Holy Cross in a Turnpike Trophy doubleheader tilt that airs on CBS Sports Network on Monday (Jan. 27) at 4 p.m.
