No. 14 Terriers Travel to Colgate for Weekend Series

BOSTON – The No. 14 Boston University women's ice hockey team (0-2-0, 0-0-0 HE) heads to No. 8 Colgate (0-2-0, 0-0-0 ECAC) for a pair of games at the Class of 1965 Arena in Hamilton, N.Y. Puck drop on Friday (Oct. 10) and Saturday (Oct. 11) is set for 6 p.m.
 
TERRIER TIDBITS
  • The Terriers opened the season with a series against No. 3 Minnesota at Walter Brown Arena dropping both contests, 5-0 and 5-2.
  • Senior Sydney Healey accrued two points in the 5-2 loss with a goal and an assist.
  • Freshman Anežka Čabelová scored her first collegiate goal and BU's second against the Golden Gophers.
  • S. Healey and senior Clara Yuhn assisted on Čabelová's goal.
  • Junior Mari Pietersen made a career-high 44 saves in the 5-0 loss while graduate student Michelle Pasiechnyk made 31 saves between the posts in the 5-2 loss.
  • BU is No. 14 in the USCHO and USA Hockey polls this week.
  • Senior Lilli Welcke leads the Terriers in faceoff wins with 17, good for 21st in Hockey East.

SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
  • Colgate is 0-2-0 after opening the season with pair of losses at No. 2 Ohio State at the Class of 1965 Arena.
  • The Raiders scored first in both games.
  • Colgate owns three power-play goals which is fifth-best in the nation. Their power-play percentage of 0.375 is third-best in the NCAA.
  • Seniors Alexis Petford and Casey Borgiel scored two goals apiece and lead Colgate in the category.
  • Goaltender Farah Walker made a combined 73 saves in five periods of play and boasts a save percentage of 0.849 which is 52nd in the NCAA.
  • Goaltender Brooke Davis saw the ice for one period, making 37 saves.
