BOSTON – Following a 104-57 home win over VTSU-Johnson, the Boston University men's basketball team will visit former America East rival New Hampshire on Saturday with a 7 p.m. start.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- After shooting 6-for-9 in 3-point territory against the Badgers on Wednesday, junior Michael McNair leads BU in scoring with 15.8 ppg. He ranks fifth nationally at 54.8 3FG% and seventh in made 3-pointers at 3.78 per game.
- Sidelined by injury, Andrew Bhesania made his first appearance of the season and scored 23 points to become the third freshman on the team to reach 20+ points alongside Chance Gladden (12.0 ppg) and Sam Hughes (8.9 ppg) while classmate Donte Tisinger Jr. scored in double figures for the first time at 14 points.
- Sophomore Ben Defty owns BU's lone double-double and is averaging 12.3 ppg with a team-high 6.6 rpg and 14 blocks.
- The Terriers are 2-4 away from home with 76-75 overtime win at Northeastern and 75-74 victory over Harvard at the Basketball Hall of Fame Showcase held in Connecticut.
- Ranking 33rd nationally at 50.4 FG% and 15th at 40.5 3FG%, BU is averaging 75.2 ppg while holding opponents to 74.9 ppg and 46.7 FG%.
- UNH is 2-1 at home with 113-31 win over Curry College and 97-69 victory against Emmanuel College. The lone loss was a 59-47 decision to Brown.
- In the last two games, UNH came up just short at Dartmouth (69-68) and against Fairfield (72-68).
- 6-foot-8 forward and Wofford transfer Belal El Shakery leads UNH at 11.7 ppg and 7.6 rpg with a team-high seven blocks.
- 6-foot-3 guard and Richmond transfer Jack Graham is second at 11.6 ppg with 6-foot-3 guard and Hofstra transfer KiJan Robinson averaging 9.7 ppg.
- The Wildcats are led by head coach Nathan Davis, who previously led Bucknell from 2015-23.
- Overall, UNH is averaging 68.4 ppg and 40.1 FG% while holding opponents to 70.3 ppg and 43.4 FG%.
- The Terriers lead the all-time series, 102-39, with the first meeting taking place back in 1908.
- After meeting as non-conference opponents in six straight seasons from 2014-19, the Terriers earned a 64-57 victory at UNH in 2022.
