BOSTON – Approaching the final two road games of the 2024-25 regular season, the Boston University women's basketball program ignites that stretch with a trip to Lafayette on Saturday, March 1. Opening tip is set for 2 p.m.

BU (11-16, 5-11 PL) has won three games in a row. The Terriers occupy seventh place in the Patriot League standings, one game ahead of the Leopards. BU would clinch the seventh seed for the upcoming Patriot League Tournament with a win on Saturday.

Lafayette (7-20, 4-12 PL) seeks its first win since Feb. 12. Saturday marks the Leopards' third home contest in its last four games.

Saturday's game airs on ESPN+, beginning at the top of the hour. Lafayette Athletics will provide live statistics while the Patriot League supplies an international stream.

TERRIER TIDBITS

The Terriers picked up an 80-68 win over first-place Lehigh on Feb. 26 at Case Gym.
BU never trailed and shot over 55 percent from the field to snap the Mountain Hawks' 12-game winning streak.
Senior Alex Giannaros dropped a season high 29 points, making seven three-pointers.
Sophomore Audrey Ericksen made a trio of threes for 14 points while junior Anete Adler contributed 11 points and four blocks.
BU has scored 80 points in consecutive games for the first time since Dec. 9-21, 2023 against Harvard, Emmanuel and Northeastern, a three-game span.
Giannaros, who moved into ninth place on BU's all-time scoring list after the win over the Mountain Hawks, is four points away from Mo Moran '13 or eighth place on BU's all-time scoring list, 12 points away from Julie Schmidt '95 for seventh place and 14 points from Andrea Ashuck '89 in sixth place.
Sophomore Aoibhe Gormley, who ranks top-five during Patriot League play in assists per game, assist/turnover ratio and steals per game, has shot nearly 63 percent from the field and almost 85 percent at the free throw line in her last 10 appearances.
During Patriot League action, BU has made 40 percent or more of its shots in 13 of its 16 matchups.

SCOUTING LAFAYETTE

The Leopards are on a four-game losing streak, most recently falling to Army West Point, 75-48.
During Patriot League play at home, Lafayette is just 2-6, with wins over American and Loyola Maryland.
Patriot League teams have shot a conference-high 44.3 percent from the field and 38.8 percent from three-point range, the highest clips in the league.
Abby Antognoli paces the Leopards with 12.4 points per game and 100 assists.
In her last five contests, Teresa Kiewiet is scoring 17 points per game on 58.8 percent shooting.

SERIES HISTORY

Saturday marks the 34th all-time meeting between BU and Lafayette in a series that began in 1985.
The Terriers sport a 22-11 edge in the rivalry, winning eight of the last 10 games.
On the road, BU is 9-7, searching for its first three-game winning streak on the Leopards' home court.
Lafayette won the first matchup in the Patriot League lidlifter, 66-55, on Jan. 2.
Giannaros and Ericksen combined for 32 points, but Lafayette shot nearly 45 percent from the field.
