Deppiesse Earns Patriot League Player of the Week Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Highlighted by six extra-base hits, Boston University softball junior Brooke Deppiesse earned her fourth career Patriot League Player of the Week award, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.
The Redwood City, California, native batted an impressive 11-for-18 (.619) with three triples, three doubles, seven RBIs and 10 runs scored to help the Terriers sweep all five games last week. She also swiped three bases and delivered three sacrifice hits while earning 14 putouts alongside seven assists on the defensive end at second base.
Deppiesse started the week 2-for-3 with four RBIs and two triples in an 8-2 game one win over Yale and followed up batting a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs in the 8-0 (5) game two victory. During the 14-7 15-inning marathon victory at Bucknell, she recorded three hits, two RBIs and two runs scored.
Finally, she went a combined 4-for-7 in Sunday's DH sweep against the Bison with three runs scored and an RBI to claim her second Player of the Week honor this season.
The Terriers will next visit Merrimack on Tuesday (March 25) for a doubleheader starting at 12 p.m.
