BOSTON – Back at The Roof for the second of three consecutive scheduled Wednesday night home contests, the Boston University men's basketball team will host Lafayette with a 6 p.m. tip.

The Terriers will enter the matchup seeking their first sweep of the Patriot League schedule after defeating the Leopards, 83-67, on the road two weeks prior.

TERRIER TIDBITS

Sophomore Ben Defty (14.2 ppg, 6.8 rpg) currently ranks 60th nationally with five double-doubles after earning two last week, highlighted by his 26-point, 10-rebound performance against Lehigh. He also ranks sixth in field goal percentage at 66.7 FG% and 87th averaging 1.50 blocks per game.
Owner of seven 20+ point performances, BU leading scorer and junior Michael McNair is averaging 16.4 ppg by ranking seventh shooting 45.9 percent in 3-point territory. He will look to bounce back after having his streak of consecutive games with double-digit points snapped at 12 during Saturday's road loss to Loyola Maryland.
Freshman Chance Gladden is the third Terrier averaging double-digit points at 12.7 ppg alongside 4.4 apg while shooting an impressive 60-for-67 (.896) at the free throw line.
In total, five Terriers had scored at least 20 points in a game with freshman Sam Hughes (9.1 ppg) reaching the mark in the season-opening win at Northeastern. He's second on the team at 41 3-pointers.
BU is averaging 75.8 ppg and 48.7 FG% while holding opponents to 76.8 ppg and 47.5 FG%.

SCOUTING LAFAYETTE

The Leopards are 1-9 on the road compared to their 4-5 home mark with their lone victory occurring at Loyola Maryland, 79-64.
Two Leopards are averaging double figures in points with 6-foot-0 guard Caleb Williams leading the way at 15.9 ppg with 6-foot-4 wing Andrew Phillips next at 14.2 ppg. They are a combined 96-for 265 (.362) from behind the arc.
5-foot-10 guard Mark Butler (10.4 ppg) owns a team-high 3.9 apg, while Shareef Jackson (9.7 ppg) leads at 6.1 rpg.
Lafayette is averaging 70.0 and 42.2 FG% while holding opponents to 75.7 ppg and 45.9 FG%.

SERIES HISTORY

BU leads the all-time series, 22-11, with a 10-3 home record.
During the earlier 83-67 road victory this season, McNair tallied a career-high 29 points, and Hughes earned his first career double-double off 10 points and 10 rebounds.
BU shot 53.4 FG% and posted a 10-3 advantage in made 3-pointers.
Last year, the Terriers pulled out a 66-64 home win thanks to junior Kyrone Alexander breaking the deadlock on a jumper with two seconds left.

LOOKING AHEAD

BU will next visit Colgate on Saturday (Jan. 24) for a 2 p.m. tip.
Both home teams won last season with the Terriers claiming a thrilling 93-91 double-overtime victory after falling on the road, 87-50.
