Anete Adler Named Patriot League Player of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Boston University women's basketball senior Anete Adler has been selected as the Patriot League Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 26, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
Adler secures her first Patriot League weekly award of her career and the first for a Terrier this season. She is the first Terrier to receive the honor since former teammate Alex Giannaros (Wheelock'25) did so on Dec. 30, 2024.
In a 2-0 week for BU, Adler led all Patriot League student-athletes with 19 made baskets and 43 points, averaging 21.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game while shooting nearly 53 percent from the field.
The Estonia native began the week setting career highs with 27 points on 12 baskets, 16 rebounds and four blocks in BU's 66-55 victory over Lafayette on Jan. 21. She followed that up with 16 points and seven boards to help guide the Terriers past Colgate, 58-54, on Jan. 24.
Adler is enjoying a career year in her third season at BU, averaging 14 points and 6.4 rebounds per game with 30 blocks. During Patriot League play, she ranks among the top five in the conference in points per game (16.3 – fourth), field goal percentage (54.4 percent – third) and blocks (14 – first).
BU returns to action on Wednesday (Jan. 28), visiting first-place Navy. Opening tip is set for 7 p.m.
